Farfetch.com sent me an invitation be part of their Perfect Holiday Party Look contest. How can I possibly say no? I’ve since long become a loyal fan of their top-of-the-line collections from fine boutiques across the globe. I especially enjoy scouting around for some rare pieces and new, fashion-forward designers, and their site never disappoints.
I was asked to put together one holiday party look but I couldn’t help – after all, we aren’t only going to one party for this entire season, are we? 😉
So there you have it: these two looks definitely epitomize my dressing ideals of the moment. Both carry a perfect sense of laid-back ease, with a perfect ratio of subtlety and glamour added for the holidays.
I adore how easy and slouchy the green dress on the left can turn into, just by unbuttoning a few and twist the bottom on the waist to get uneven sides. The snake-skin chunky-heeled sandals I chose to go with the dress have all the vibes I desire for the season: fun, free, easy, sexy, yet sophisticated.
The look on the right is so fun and unpredictable that I couldn’t possibly resist. I have a thing for all slip dresses. Their silhouette is so unfazed and the satiny fabric is simply dreamy. The glitzy jacket that goes over is both festive and cool – that’s almost too good to be true, isn’t it?
